Health Care
Health care is a public good. Where you live, how much you earn, or who your employer is should never determine whether you can see a doctor, afford medication, survive an emergency, or go into lifelong debt.
Southern and Eastern Oregon deserve a representative who fights for working people, not corporations, lobbyists, or political insiders in Washington.
My campaign focuses on the issues that matter most in OR-02: lowering health care costs, protecting water and natural resources, strengthening public education, supporting family farms and rural businesses, and restoring accountability in government.
Because government should work for the people who live here, not the people who can afford to buy influence in Washington.

Agriculture, Water & Working Lands
Family farms, ranches, and working forests are the backbone of Oregon’s 2nd District. I will protect water security, strengthen support for small and mid-size producers, defend public land access, and ensure rural communities benefit, not outside corporations or speculators. Stewardship and economic stability must go hand in hand.
Veterans who served our country deserve timely health care, reliable benefits, and real support, especially in rural communities. I will protect and strengthen VA access in Southern and Eastern Oregon, reduce disability claim backlogs, expand mental health and suicide prevention services, and ensure no veteran has to drive hours for care that was earned through service.
Affordability
An Economy That Works for People Not Just Corporations
Our economy should reward work, strengthen communities, and create long-term stability, not extract wealth upward while families fall behind. For too long, federal economic policy has prioritized corporate profits, Wall Street, and monopolies over wages, affordability, and local resilience. I’m running to rebalance that system.
Stewardship, not exploitation. Manage land and water so they work for generations.
Public lands belong to the public. Access for families, hunters, anglers, tribes, and small businesses, not corporate lock-ups.
Local voices matter. Decisions should be science-based and locally informed.
Rule of law & accountability. Treaties honored. Polluters pay. Transparency required.
PreK - University. Every kid deserves an excellent start, great teachers, safe schools, real career options, and an affordable path to a credential, without being trapped in lifelong debt.
Work should pay. Safety should be guaranteed. A job should come with dignity, not fear.
Free. Fair. Secure.
Protect vote-by-mail. Verify citizenship. Expand access. End dark money.
Election integrity means every legal vote counts, and billionaires don’t buy the outcome.
Tribal Affairs & Treaty Rights
Honoring Sovereignty. Enforcing Treaties. Practicing Partnership.
Tribal nations are sovereign governments, not interest groups. The United States has binding legal and moral obligations, through treaties, statutes, and trust responsibilities, that must be honored in practice, not just rhetoric.
I approach Tribal Affairs as an educator, public servant, and policymaker who understands that when treaty rights are ignored, everyone loses, especially rural communities that depend on land, water, and stability.
Civil Rights
Equal Justice. Equal Protection. No Exceptions.
Civil rights are not culture-war talking points. They are constitutional guarantees. The federal government’s first obligation is to ensure that every person, regardless of race, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, immigration status, or zip code, has equal protection under the law.
I approach civil rights as an educator and public servant: rights must be enforced, measured, and protected from political interference.
America is strongest when we lead with diplomacy, defend human rights, and follow the Constitution. For too long, Washington has allowed endless wars, unchecked military spending, and corporate interests to drive foreign policy while rural communities here at home were left behind. I believe Congress must reclaim its authority over war, human rights must apply to everyone, and trade policies must protect American workers and farmers from unfair global competition. Our foreign policy should prevent conflict, strengthen alliances, confront authoritarian threats, and invest in stability, not enrich defense contractors or drag our country into unnecessary wars.
Accountability & Rule of Law
No one is above the law, not presidents, members of Congress, billionaires, or foreign lobbying groups trying to influence American policy. Every elected official swears an oath to defend the Constitution, and that oath must mean something. I will fight for real accountability: banning congressional stock trading, overturning Citizens United, ending taxpayer-funded harassment settlements in Congress, enforcing ethics laws, and demanding transparency when powerful people abuse their power. Our democracy only works when leaders answer to the people.
